Youth Curriculum - Teamwork

John Maxwell infamously coined the phrase, “teamwork makes the dream work” which speaks to the significance teamwork plays to being successful. When on the job, one is expected to be an integral part of the team, fostering success in the workplace. But what exactly makes effective teamwork in the workplace? This workshop answers that question. This workshop focuses on the importance of teamwork, teamwork in the workplace, and how to be an effective team member. Participants will engage in exercises that reflect upon their current understanding of teamwork and its importance. Participants will also put their current teamwork skills to use with an engaging activity. By the end of the workshop, participants will understand the importance of teamwork and how to be an effective team member in the workplace.

Target Audience: In-School Youth, Out-of-School Youth

Essential Question: By completion of this workshop, participants should be able to answer the question:

·       How can I be an effective team member in the workplace?
