Youth Curriculum - My Personal Brand Part 1

Personal branding is growing increasingly important as the digital world continues to impact employment opportunities. Effective personal branding is focused on creating a marketable image of yourself for potential employers and is key to penetrating today’s job market.  This workshop focuses on why personal branding is important and how participants can create an effective personal brand. Participants will engage in exercises to understand the significance of establishing a personal brand as well as identify all the characteristics of a personal brand. Participants will also be guided through the process of establishing their own personal brand by examining their behavior and determining what they want their behavior to say about them. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to define personal brand, identify the different components of a personal brand, as well as start to build their own personal brand.  

Target Audience: In-School Youth, Out-of-School Youth

Essential Questions: By completion of this workshop, participants should be able to answer the questions:

·       How can I create an effective personal brand?
