Youth Curriculum - The Entrepreneurial Process

There are a lot of characteristics that make up a successful entrepreneur, such as willingness to act and creativity to develop something new. Having knowledge of the Entrepreneurial Process is also another key factor for succeeding as an entrepreneur. This workshop focuses on the Entrepreneurial Process. To begin, participants will learn about common myths of entrepreneurship and why they are myths. Then participants will be introduced to the five steps of the Entrepreneurial Process. This workshop will walk participants through each of the five steps of the Entrepreneurial Process, from inspiration to branding. Participants will gain a step-by-step understanding of the Entrepreneurial Process by engaging in group activities that reinforces each step. By the end of the workshop, participants will walk away with an understanding of the steps involved in creating a start-up company.

Target Audience: In-School Youth and Out-of-School Youth

Essential Question: By completion of this workshop, participants should be able to answer the following question:
